Right Turn on Red from X Am to Y Pm

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Hey guys, I got a ticket today for making a right turn on a red light today. I was fully stopped, waited 3 seconds, and looked for traffic. when it was clear, i made the right turn. I was pulled over by a police and he explained to me that there was a sign saying that I am not allowed to make right turns from 7AM to 8PM. Is there any way i can contest this? and also, how much would the ticket be?

I live in orange county, in california. the city i live in is westminster. thanks for all your help

Did you go back and verify that there was a "No Right Turn On Red Sign?" If there was, you would need to get a copy of CA's traffic regs as relates to signage and see if the sign meets the standard. That is one avenue of research for you. I'm sure others will pop in and let you know if there are more.

yeah, i went back it there was a small sign stating no right turns from 7am to 8 pm.
