How Can I Reopen My Case

My question involves traffic court in the State of: California

In April 2009 I got a camera ticket for failure to stop on red before making a right turn.
I got the 1st extension and then a court date on 9/08/2009.
I admitted my fault and asked judge for community services in a lieu of payment and 12 hrs traffic school ( as I already
had one traffic school in the last 18 months). She approved. I was not able to complete community service hours and on a due date I paid my
ticket online instead of going to court. By doing so I have closed my case and could not take advantage of traffic school.
It was in December of last year. Can I re-open my case so I can still go to a traffic school ? If so how do I proceed?

You can contact the court for information on how you can re-open your case. I'm not sure whether they'll allow it at this point in time... But you can try!

Before you do that, let me ask you this: what are you hoping to accomplish by taking the 12 hour traffic school? Is your violation point count adding up and posing a "habitual offender suspension"?

In other words, the only conceivable benefit (that I can see) for taking the 12-hour traffic school is if you're trying to avoid a suspension... Other than that, the citation that you're taking the 12 hour traffic school for is not masked (hidden) and can be seen by your insurer and may still count for purposes of underwriting your auto insurance policy (as in: it may still affect the amount of premium you will have to pay depending on your insurer's rating procedures).
