Buying an LLC and then Becoming an Employee or Independent Contractor of It

My question involves independent contractors in the state of: Any State


Someone told me that it was possible to purchase an LLC and yet make yourself the employee or an independent contractor of the LLC.

If this is true can someone with knowledge in this area tell us how we can legally do this? Do we have to make use of nominees for such a strategy?
