First Amendment V. Private Schools

Interesting conversation I had today with a friend overseas. Brought up this argument, that I thought I'd post:

Should students at private schools (in the US) have the privilege to their First Amendment rights. In other words, can a student at a private school (college or k-12) be free from the censorship of press?

What if the student was in another country? Should his UDHR rights be guaranteed at a private school? (Pending the country has signed the Universal Declaration of HR)

What are your thoughts, legal or not, on this matter?

not if they use the school's resources and name. If they want to do something outside of school, more power to them.
