My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: Texas
I entered into a school zone from a side road. From that side road the school zone is clearly marked as such with signs, but does not have a blinking light to indicate when the school zone is in effect. On the main road, at either end of the school zone are blinking lights that set the speed limit at 30 when it is usually 45. (The side road formed a "T" with the main road, and essentially bisects the school zone). The signs are explicit that the school zone speed limit is in effect when the lights are blinking. I was clocked going 46 in the school zone.
Now (ignoring the fact that 46 is technically speeding) given that at no point in my drive was a flashing light set up in any way that I could see, and thus I had no way to know the school zone speed limit was in effect, how do I approach this case?
