Default Received a Credit Card Debt Summons - How to Respond

My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: California

I received a summons regarding my debt owed to AMEX. I am in agreement with this debt. However, the document was filed on Sept 8 and I had 30 days to respond which will expire on the 8th of October. I misplaced the document. How am I to respond if I agree with the document? Also, there is also a Notice of Assignment & Case Managemet Conference set for Jan. 2011. I know this is a basic question but how do I proceed? Am I at any risk because 30 days will expire in October 8, 2011?

Default Re: Received a Credit Card Debt Summons - How to Respond

You can obtain another copy of the complaint from the court; expect to pay a per-page copying fee in the vicinity of $1-2. If you know who the plaintiff's lawyer is you may be able to get them to fax or email you a copy.
