My question involves criminal records for the state of: Washington
First, I have read the first 15 pages in this thread . . . and I appreciate your answers.

I was convicted of Extortion - Class C Felony, 1985, Washington State. The prosecutor wanted 90 days I served seven days w/work release. In Florida, 1989/90 I bought some marijuana from law enforcement doing a sting operation - I believe this was a misdemeanor.
Q: Any chance of vacating or expungement of felony conviction in Washington State?
Q: If the conviction can be vacated, expunged or even sealed, it is possible the conviction will still show up in private databases?
I have read, "Please remember that we sometimes can vacate convictions that do not appear to be eligible because of unusual circumstances or the extreme age of he conviction."

I've read statements written by some of you regarding "lie of omission." I don't know if I fully understand it / agree with it.
Q: If the company does not do a background check should I inform them of the conviction?
Q: Is it likely or not likely that most background checks go back to 1985?
Thanks
