    Default Husband Is Here Illegally

My husband and I have been married 1 year . He has been detained and voluntary deportation/departation? twice in the past. We have a 4 month old daughter. He has never had any papers but came here illegally at 16, 11 years ago. I guess is there any chance that he could get any legal documentation. He comes from an area in Mexico that has a huge mafia problem and we really dont want to raise our children there. Can we do asylum? or hardship if he leaves? or something. Any ideas would be great. We are going to do a consultation soon but we have talked with a few lawyers that just say no chance. we are in washington.

Not while he is still here in the US, no, and especially not with two prior deportations.

To get himself legal here, he needs to go back to his homeland and wait out his ban (10 years), and file his paperwork properly. Asylum is not an option, and it's very difficult to prove that you would suffer undue hardship if he were to go back home.
