It is surprising just how much of an advantage, and some cases you'd think were illegal, that LEO has, being able to lie to you also, long ago I always thought that LEO couldn't mis-represent anything to you, but they can, I try an warn everyone and Especially my loved ones, that a LEO IS NOT your friend, and for the most part the majority of the time, they aren't there to help you, statistically speaking, your risk of being injuried or worst, dramatically increases with a LEO encounter, so always be respectful and courteous and say the least you have to, last thing; say a little prayer and ask The Lord to watch out over you ...Kirk out

I assume LEO means Law Enforcement Officer.

Never had a run-in with a LEO but I read somewhere that the only person who is not permitted to testify against you is your own lawyer.

Supposedly the police lying to you is bad but it serves a greater good; bringing criminals to justice.

I did hear that the police are so good at persuasion that 1/4th of the people who confess are not guilty.

Can you legally record a LEO in states that allow one-party taping?

I'm not trying to scare people be malicious or malevolent, sure there are many out there that need to be avoided (criminals) it's a complicated tricky situation, but the same rules needed at times to trap predators and the such are used on otherwise law-abiding citizens who at times maybe incur a minor infraction
