Will a Suspension Carry Over Onto a New License from a Different State

My question involves a driver's license issued by the State of: MI
I received a ticket in NYC with a MI drivers license, i pled not guilty through mail with a notarized letter but they seem to have lost it, they are telling me that because i did not respond in time my license will be suspended in the state of NY. now i dont live in NY, i live in Fl, and i recently changed my license to a Fl license from my MI one that received the suspension. does it carry over onto my new Fl license. could i just forget about it?

Was your license suspended in MI when you transferred the license to Florida?

If so, did you check off the box that asks "is your license now revoked or suspended in any other state"?

when i changed my licenses from a Mi to a Fl it had not yet been suspended in NY

i got a ticket in NY i dont live in NY i live in Florida so simply put i could not make it for a hearing

Your license is ether suspended in FL or the state of NY just hasn't caught up to you yet. In order to get your license back in FL you will have to contact the county in which you got the ticket in NY in and pay the ticket and fees. Then you will have to pay more fees in FL in order to get your FL license back to good standing. You really dug yourself a deep hole here when all you had to do was mail the court in NY when you were in MI and plead not guilty and had a hearing by mail.

i did reply by mail through a In lieu of appearance form got it notarized and sent it in only thing is that the ny office is claiming they never received it even though i have the receipt from USPS saying they received it

Well then you need to keep that receipt in a safe place for future use. That is the only poof that NY received the letter. Ether way you look at this it is going to be a nightmare on your part.
