Either the bicyclist was traveling in the same direction on the wrong side of the road, or he was riding in the opposite direction on the correct side of the road; either way he was hit close to the center of the roadway. It would obviously help to have that information, as well as to know if the newly introduced matter of riding on the sidewalk involved a municipality in which the sidewalk was a designated bike path with bicyclists maintaining the same general right-of-way rights as motor vehicles.
