My question involves an arrest warrant from the State of: AR
I received a speeding ticket and did not appear on the court date mandated, I don't live in the city where I received the ticket and forgot about it, but I didn't avoid appearing on purpose. Not making excuses, just clarifying.
I called and the lady at the court office stated that a warrant was placed, and that the bond was set at $650. My questions are:
Does the bond price include the ticket price or will there be even more fees for not showing up to court plus the traffic ticket plus the bond?
If this is a first-time misdemeanor warrant for a traffic violation (less than 15mph over limit, had seatbelt on), it is probably a warrant that applies at the county level right? Meaning, should I expect to be arrested out of the blue?
I do intend to pay this, is there a way to pay this in increments and while being out of the country?
I understand you may not have all the answers but any help will definitely be appreciated, and even though I am fully responsible for my actions, I would hate to think that a speeding ticket would make it so that I can't get any jobs because of having a criminal record....
Thank you.
