Accident Involving a Teenager

My question involves a traffic accident in the State of: Texas
I live in Dallas, Texas. Two weeks ago , i was in a car accident . the other driver ran the red light). i made a claim with his insurance company , but i t came to found out that the driver is a 15 years old with no driver license. i am guessing the car belongs to his father. the insurance company starts to talk funny and seems to deny coverage because the son is not listed on the insurance . what should i do if the claim is denied? can i sue the parent? or the insurance. Your help will be appreciated

Do you have insurance? If you have collision coverage through your own insurance, you can consider making a claim through them and letting them worry about recovering money from the at-fault driver and the other insurance company.

If the minor caused the accident, you can sue the minor. You may have a viable claim against dad under such theories as negligent entrustment, negligent supervision, etc., depending on the full facts.

If the boy wasn't on the insurance, they won't pay... and YOUR insurance company will go after him... and his parents.
