Mileage to and From a Doctor's Office

been going back and forth to doctors from my home or from my work and always got paid.

now my question is does it only count from home to the doctor

or can the start place be work then the doctor.

i ask this because i always be getting paid from either way, but now a new adjuster is on the case she says no.you only get paid from home to the doctor. at times i was only able to go from work since i had to be at work early and i went to the doctor on my break.

so which is it and can you give me something if avalible from comp boards web site for ny stating it doesnt have to be from home.

so they should be paying my mileage from work to doctors also.

That's what you would argue, certainly. You can also ask them to share any legal authority they have that suggests otherwise.

If (for example) work is 20 miles to the west of your home, and your doctor is 20 miles to the east, I can see how the insurer might believe you're gaming the system to get reimbursement for your commute to and from work; but I don't know the background or what the adjuster is thinking.

well it was fine. there was a different adjuster on teh case and for 3+ yrs i always got paid my mileage from either from work to the doctor or home to the doctor and back.

now that adjuster left and a new adjuster is there. i submitted my mileage same way i always do i called to ask about if it was processed yet and she said you dont get paid mileage from work to the doctor its only from your home. i said how can i help it if i to go to work and the only chance i get to go to the doctor is on my break at work.
