Exclamation Will Marrying a Minor Prevent Statutory Rape Charges

My question involves criminal law for the state of: California

I'm 19 years old and I'm currently in a relationship with a 17 year old. I'm unclear as to consent laws because when I looked them up I saw different things for different ages such as being more than 3 years age difference, less than 2 years, etc.. I'm hoping someone can clarify what could basically happen to me if we were to have sex. Also my partner's mom is unaware of our relationship and I'm worried about what she might do if she were to find out we were going out and I'm wondering if somehow getting her permission and getting married would resolve some issues? Legally I mean.
