Default Excessive Fees for Transfer of Funds

My question involves personal finance in the State of PA
Hi, my wife usually deals with the finances because she wants to, I usually don't look at our statements. She told me months ago that she transferred our credit card balance of 7,000 from USAA for AAA bank of america because the rates were low. She mentioned because we took our debt elsewhere that USAA charged a high fee, I figured a few hundred, that stinks but oh well. Well now I just looked at our credit card statment and seen the fees, there were about 10-15 fees for one 7,000 transfer totaling 5,168 dollars[/B]. This seems to be a 75% interest rate. Is this okay? Can they get away with this? Should I seek legal advice? thanks for anyones help, I feel I'm being taken for on this one!

Default Re: Extreme Fees for Transfer 75%

I find it incredibly difficult to believe that there would be 10 - 15 fees totaling over 2/3 of a $7,000 transfer without a lot more going on than the mere transfer. As I have no access to the terms of the account, the fees associated with the account, what fees you were charged, or why those fees were charged, if I were to comment I would be shooting in the dark.
