Making an Illegal U-Turn, VC 22101(D) Ticket

I got a 22101 D in Davis, California, for making a U-turn while there was small "No U-Turn" text printed on a sign in front of the intersection illustrating lane directions. Would there be a way to argue my way out of this citation? It was at 12:30am and I made the u-turn on a green arrow (even though the cop told me that I could've hit someone in the bike lane, which was ridiculous). For now, I have heard that I could ask for a land survey and the ticket would be thrown out if the survey was over 5 years old at the time. Also that I could say how there was an SUV in front of me, which blocked my view of the sign, but the cop may not have seen it as it turned shortly before me. I have already been to a hearing and was able to push my court date back for nearly a whole year. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Yea, but in the previous post I wasn't sure of the signs...so I just wanted to start over with a new post which would be more relevant. Now that I know what I'm in for, I'm just really hoping anyone would have any advice that I could use to just have the case dismissed, if possible.

Thanks, I'm doing so at the minute! It's a huge document, but would u know what critical areas I should be seeking in it?
