I am a DV lottery winner . i recieved a notification letter from Usafis few days before .

first , i would like to know if i have to hire a lawyer to sen the application and complete the procedures .

i recieved a call from DC lawyer office , they told me that i have to hire them , because maybe i will loose the green card for simple mistake.

please your help .

second ,

i had been arrested for three hours for cheque return during crisis period .

did that will effect getting the green card. and how i have to justify that in the inerview , by settlment from the bank or what exactly.
