Default Bed Bugs in an Apartment

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Colorado

I moved into an apartment a month ago and quickly discovered bed bugs. I reported them and have now been treated 2x, with a third treatment either today or tomorrow.

I have found evidence that the management company treated not only the complex, but the apartment I currently rent, in March and April 2010. Was the management company responsible for notifying me of the bed bugs? If they had, I never would've taken this place.

At this point, I want out of my lease without any consequences or harm to me or credit; I want to be compensated for the monies paid as I have not been able to enjoy this place... I haven't even fully unpacked. What are my rights?

If the landlord believed that the problem was resolved, there would be nothing for the landlord to inform you about. You can count on pretty much any apartment in the world that has been on the market for more than a few years to have been, at some point in time, infested with one type of insect or vermin or another.
