My question involves child support in the State of: California
I am posting for a friend. Her ex just announced that he is leaving the country. They have completed their divorce and there are both child and spousal support obligations.
He has quit his job and taken a new job at about 1/3rd the pay - but that will allow him to move to another country where his new love lives. The new job is, apparently, with a US based firm. He is leaving for the Czech Republic - in less than a week. It appears that he intends not to continue to pay support.
Does my friend have any options such as:
a. getting his salary attached if he works for a US company?
b. the same - if he works for a Czech company?
c. Getting his passport revoked (not sure what that would accomplish)?
d. getting his custody privileged revoked (not that he seems to care, but down the road)
e. Making sure that he doesn't take the children out of the country
f. Getting any cash/assets he may have (probably not much, I think he is also escaping creditors)
One last complication, he is an Israeli citizen with a green card in the US
