    Question Kentucky Paternity Law

I live in Kentucky, and I want to know the steps i got to go through to adding my son's fathers name to his birth certificate. It's all confusing to me, so I'm trying this to maybe get a straight answer. He wasn't able to be there when our son was born, which he was born 10-27-04. And we never really worried about It. But now he want's to add his name. We are together but were not married. He agrees to this, so would we have to do a paternity test to have this done, or is there an easier way? I know the laws are different with each state. Can we get a recognition of parentage form and fill it out, or do they allow that in kentucky? We don't want to go to court and make it a big deal. We just want to add his name to the birth certificate!
