Undoing a name change

i legally changed my first and last name a few years ago.

i wanna change my full name back to my birth name, and i know i have to do this before i get my driver license.

do i have to go thru the whole process over again, or can i just simply go back to my old name.

i still have my birth certificate, which was never changed or amended. i think i threw my old passport out- my current one has my new name, as does my SSN card. surely at least one of these has my birth name on file. my hospital records were changed to my new name, but it still has my birth name in parenthesis.

i hope i dont have to go to court and make a petition all over again-that;s gonna take at least a month, and i got all this other stuff to do.

With your passport and Social Security card changed, you're potentially going to create a lot of confusion if you don't go back to court.
