Fix-It Ticket (Correctable Violation) for Burnt Out Headlight in California

My question involves a traffic citation from the state of: California

I had the headlight fixed, and the ticket signed off before the due date on the ticket.

However I received a letter in the mail for a $174 fine. the ticket was signed off before the due date, can I still return the ticket and avoid paying the fine? the due date is 2 weeks from today. What can I do?

You are still required to show the certificate of correction/signed off citation to the court clerk in order to have the citation dismissed (you'll have to pay a $25 administrative fee to the court in lieu of the $174 fine).
