Default Re: How I got "dismissed" expungements

I lived in the state of Texas I was charged with theft by check in justice of the peace courts and county courts. I have worked for the government and now the theft charges has appeared on my security clearance. How do I get this removed from my record?

If it was deferred adjudication, you can expunge it if it was a Class C Misdemeanor or you can seal it if it was a Class B Misdemeanor or greater. If you were actually convicted (such as pleading guilty and paying the fine), then you can't do anything about it. I'm an attorney in the Dallas are that has done quite a few of these - feel free to contact me at vance@mcmurrymcmurry.com. Good luck.
