California Penal Code, Sec. 246.3 Limitations

My question involves criminal law for the state of: CA

My questions is: What's the statute of limitations on 246.3 in California. It's been a year since being arrested. The DA has not filed. It's my first offense. Any thoughts?

That looks to be a misdemeanor, and thus would have a one year statute of limitations.

I just plead no contest on this misdemeanor charge 246.3 today. I'm on 2 years informal probation, and my weapons are on a military/federal installation for the duration of my stay in CA. Do I have to wait for 2 years before I can have this expunged from my record?

I was never arrested, and it took 7 months to fight this in court (initially it was a felony/Dv charge). It was reduced to a misdemeanor, and was not in anyway associated with DV in the end. I went through the Dept of Justice to get my weapons back, and got them back months ago, and locked them on the military base until this was resolved.

In the settlement, the DA stated that I had to agree to the 10 year ban of owning or using firearms in CA. Confused about this, so please explain as this was not a DV case and for my military career's sake, I'm curious as to when I can get this taken off my record?
