Default Mold/Mildew in Bathroom, Normal Wear and Tear

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Illinois

My apartment has developed brownish/black mold above the shower and covering most of the ceiling of the bathroom. Would this be considered normal wear and tear that my landlord should be required to fix and pay for? Thanks.

unless there is some underlying problem causing the mold (leaky roof, walls, whatever) this is a lack of normal maintenance and cleaning that the tenant should be taking care of and as such, the tenant should be cleaning this.
I am not an attorney and any advice is not to be construed as legal advice. You might even want to ignore my advice. Actually, there are plenty of real attorneys that you might want to ignore as well.
