Default How long does your employer have to pay "back pay"
My claim did not get accepted as "worker's com" until about 3 weeks ago. They sent me here and there and the QME finally determined it is work related. Now...I had been off work from 01/20/05 to 03/01/05 and now I am off again until I have surgery. I am getting the runaround so badly from my worker's comp office at work. She keeps telling she doesn't know why the amount is not coming out right..blah...blah...blah....one excuse after another!! I need my back pay. They owe me. Is there a law to how long an employer can take to pay you? Please help, if you can.

Default Ontario Workers' Compensation
If you have been determined to have suffered a work-related injury, you should start receiving benefits as a result of that determination. You may wish to review the materials from the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board in terms of the benefits you should receive. They may be able to advise you on when you might start to receive them.
