    Default Time Frame to Press Charges for Burglary

    My question involves criminal law for the state of: Georgia

    I just want to know the time frame to press charges for burglary even though the police were told no charges were to be press.

    the da presses charges, not the victim. If a report was made and the DA determines charges should be filed, they will file charges.

    I would have to look but in many states, a simple crime has around a year for the DA to press charges.

    Burglary is usually a felony, in which case it's at least four years.
