file a wage claim with the wage and hour division of the department of labor of your unnamed state.

stevenf, you generally would file in the state in which you physically worked. However, Alabama does not have a DOL with this mandate, so you would have to file with the federal Dept. of Labor.
OP, there are a few states that have no wage and hour laws of their own and thus no enforcement mandate. If you don't name your state, we can't tell you if your state is one of those or not.
