Default Re: Stuck Paying Child Support
My husband and I are in a similar situation. He signed the BC, has paid child support for 5 years, and just found out through a DNA test we had done, that the child is not his. We don't know who the real father is, but we are sure that the mother does. Please advise, we live in Louisville, KY! Can you send the Kentucky state laws regarding paternity with your response??

The state laws governing paternity (Paternity laws; Law governing the voluntary acknowledgement of paternity) don't indicate how you would go about setting aside a voluntary acknowledgement of paternity. However, there is a statute which indicates that it is possible to rescind a voluntary acknowledgement of paternity. This is probably something your husband should discuss with a local family lawyer.
