Default If I Don't Have Parental Rights, Why Do I Have To Pay Child Support

Ok, here it is in a nut shell,
My ex wife was pregnant before we met, Austin was born and we got married 9 months later, I signed the birth certificate, but never signed an affidavid of paternity, Well 3 years ago Austin went to live with his aunt and uncle and yes the courts were involoved because of what she did, I was in another state and came back for the hearing, I won 2 of the 3 kids which currently reside with me, where the third one Austin does not because of some major problems with his siblings, well I went to fight for him lately and I am being told I have no parental rights because I did not legally adopt him or sign and affidavid of paternity, So if I have no rights how can they come after me for child support? do I need to take a DNA test? I really don't understand! A little help Please!

How did you sign a BC but NOT the AOP?? One goes with the other...

What are the major problems with the siblings that prevented your son from living with you for the last 3 years?

The boys have every other weekend visits, however when they were with their mom, Austin sexually assaulted one of his brothers, that is how they got taken away, and why they can NOT live together or be alone together.
As to the other question, The ONLY thing I signed was a birth certificate at the hospital nothing else and this was in 97 so I am not sure.

If your parental rights were terminated or suspended as part of a child protective proceeding, it is quite possible for your obligation to support your child to continue despite that order. Further discussion can occur in your other thread.
