Insurance For Domestic Partners And Their Teen Child
If Female Adult (Parent of teen) moves in with Male Adult (Parent of same teen), how do you handle car insurance for all without going bankrupt?
Male Adult (age ~50) has never had car insurance, but has excellent driving record and credit, work history, current employment, etc. ALL GOOD.
Female insurance history is excellent over 25 years and currently insured.
Both have maintained seperate homes in real close proximity (same block) to one another without issue over 25 years.
Teenage son would like a car soon, and his main home is listed as Male Adults.
Adult Female could relocate to same residence as Male Adult, or can maintain primary residence.
If two non-married folks live together and purchase car insurance, is it double the price? How do other's living together buy insurance? And, then the teen issue? Who ever thought the kid would grow up so fast!!!!!!
Please do not tell me marriage is the answer to solve this issue. Most marriages don't last over 25 years, so I think our way is working for us.
Kid thought 2 houses on same block was cool until now...
Thanks for all help.
